Creative idea

I designed 3 posters that capture the rich diversity of Slovenian art and culture. Their central message is clear: to truly savor the wonders of Slovenia, you must experience them firsthand, not only in photographs or videos. The essence of this creative idea derives from recognizing Slovenia as a vibrant cultural gem, full of captivating masterpieces scattered across the country. The main message plays with the idea that the discovery of an artistic or cultural masterpiece correlates with going on a date. It doesn't matter if you are in Slovenia for a quick look or a long visit; there's something for everyone. Taking the competition's title to heart, I created a creative concept that invites tourists to go on a real date with Slovenian masterpieces. Drawing inspiration from modern dating apps, I designed profiles for 3 of these Slovenian masterpieces (Kofetarica - a 19th-century Slovenian painting located in the National Gallery of Slovenia, Kurent - a carnival hero who scares the winter away and comes from Ptuj, and Kekec - a literary hero who is a shepherd in mountains). Each profile playfully highlights their unique characteristics and their locations. The magic lies in the fact that these masterpieces come alive when experienced in person: in a gallery (Kofetarica), at a carnival (Kurent), or in nature (Kekec). Accentuating the truth: Slovenia's beauty deepens with proximity. As a visual background, I chose the picturesque images of these masterpieces' locations, showcasing Slovenia's incredible landscapes. They serve as an invitation for tourists to immerse themselves in the vibrant cultural atmosphere of Slovenia.
