"Wine Under the Bridge" is a unique event held under the bridge spanning the Vipava River in Renče, where charity is combined with relaxed socializing, tastings of select wines, and local cuisine. Numerous local winemakers showcase their wines, and visitors can learn about their stories, wine styles, and the unique characteristics of each vintage in the pleasant atmosphere beneath the bridge.

A unique feature of the event is the “wine from the river”—bottles that age beneath the surface of the Vipava River all year round: during the event, the organizers retrieve them from the river while simultaneously lowering new ones into the water, where they will remain until the following year. This moment is accompanied by a charity wine auction, which adds extra value and purpose to the event. A musical program sets the mood, and the event is designed to be family-friendly—with activities and entertainment that appeal to children as well.
