August in Ajdovščina will be filled with music, humour and the unique atmosphere of the Roman walls of Castra. Set against the historic backdrop of the town centre, three evenings will take place, combining acoustic concerts, stand-up comedy and the experience of summer evenings under the stars. Castra Acoustic and Castra Theatrum invite you to an event blending culture, entertainment and a unique setting, where the town’s past becomes a stage for contemporary creativity.
Castra Acoustic | Zoran Predin trio

Zoran Predin returns to Ajdovščina for an acoustic performance featuring a selection of Lačni Franz’s best-known songs and his own hits that have become part of the national repertoire. He will be joined on stage by Tine Čas on guitar and Anej Kočevar on bass, seasoned musicians from the other Lačni Franz line-up, with whom Predin has recorded several studio albums and performed both at home and abroad
Doors open at 8.00 pm, with the concert starting at 9.00 pm.

Castra Theatrum | Sašo Stare and Žan Papič

Ajdovščina is getting its very own comedy show. Sašo Stare and Žan Papič, two popular stand-up comedians, will take to the stage at Castra Theatrum to fill the evening with humour, light-heartedness and situations we can all easily relate to.
As this is the first edition, there are no comparisons yet. But the expectations are clear: a great evening, plenty of laughter and a fantastic atmosphere under the stars.

Castra Acoustic | Mi2

In 2026, the band Mi2 have announced an extensive acoustic tour, *Natur(i)*, as part of which they will also be performing in Ajdovščina. Following their anniversary year, in which they celebrated 30 years of performing, they are now turning to a more intimate, acoustic rendition of their songs.
As well as their best-known hits, the concert will also feature less frequently performed tracks that are not usually part of their standard concert repertoire. They will perform with an expanded line-up, featuring percussionist Blaž Celarc and a wind section led by Anže Zaveršnik, which will give the songs a fresh sound.
Mi2’s acoustic concerts are renowned for their genuine connection with the audience, their down-to-earth humour and the energy that builds throughout the evening to create a real concert atmosphere.
