Lapis
Lapis Winery, located in Brje in the Vipava Valley, is a family-owned winery where the tradition of winemaking has been passed down from generation to generation. Across four hectares of vineyards planted on the characteristic marl soils of the Vipava Valley, they produce wines that reflect the unique character of their local terroir.
A special place in their story belongs to Klarnica, a rare indigenous grape variety of the Vipava Valley, whose preservation is also thanks to the dedication of the Lapis family. In addition to Klarnica, they cultivate Rebula, Malvasia, Merlot, and Barbera.
The name Lapis, meaning “stone” in Latin, symbolizes strength, perseverance, and respect for the land—values that shape both their wines and their family story.
