Álvaro Rodrigues is one of the most awarded and influential advertisers of his generation in Brazil.
In 2020 he brought to Brazil one of the most iconic and awarded independent agencies of Mexico: Made. As a CEO and founding partner, Alvaro launched Made Rio.
He has been in the advertising market for more than 20 years and has worked in several agencies in Brazil such as Africa (ECD), Africa Rio (President), DM9 Rio (Partner, CCO), Ogilvy (Copywriter), FCB (Copywriter), Agência3 (Partner, President), among others.
Throughout his career he won 26 Cannes Lions and 6 D&AD Pencils so far. He was the first creative from Rio de Janeiro to win a Pencil at D&AD.
He has been part of the jury at many festivals, such as Cannes Lions (three times), D&AD (twice), Clio Music, FIAP (Jury President), El Ojo, London International Awards, Lisbon Advertising Festival, Best Ads on TV (three times), Wave Festival, among others.
He also won several awards in national and international festivals, such as Clio, Clio Music, New York Festivals, The One Show, London International Awards, FIAP, El Ojo, FWA, Archive, São Paulo Creative Club, to name a few.
Two years ago he had been nominated to the Brazilian Marketing Hall of Fame by ABRAMARK.
Álvaro was the Creative Club of Rio de Janeiro’s President and also Brazilian Association of Advertisers’ President.
