Creative idea

Planica is globally recognized as the home of ski jumping world records — a place where the limits of human performance are pushed year after year. But through Mastercard’s Priceless lens, the Planica World Cup is more than a sporting event where athletes break records. It becomes a space where everyone in the audience can break their own personal record, through moments of connection, excitement, and shared energy. That insight led us to the idea behind our poster series: “Break your own record at Planica World Cup.” We took the official unit used in ski jumping — km/h — and reimagined it for the audience’s experiences. Instead of only measuring the speed of athletes, we measured the emotional, social, and human records that fans break every hour they spend at Planica. Poster 1 (Heartbeats): As athletes fly through the air, the audience’s heart rate rises with them. Measuring excitement through heartbeats shows the collective energy that unites people. Poster 2 (Kisses): Planica is not only about sport but also about creating personal stories. A simple kiss becomes a symbol of inclusion, belonging, and shared memories. Poster 3 (Nations Met): Fans from different countries share a toast together, turning Planica into a global meeting point where everyone belongs. By turning sports metrics into human metrics, we invite a new generation to see Planica as more than competition: a modern, inclusive event where breaking records is not limited to the athletes on the hill. With Mastercard, everyone can break their own record — and feel the Priceless energy at Planica.
